As part of our International Women's Day initiative this year, we're partnering with United Way East Ontario to collect donations and build care kits. Our goal is to provide comfort and essential supplies to women fleeing gender-based violence in our community.
These kits do more than meet basic needs—they offer dignity, stability, and hope during a time of crisis.
What goes in a kit?
- Travel-size shampoo & conditioner
- Scent-free body wash or soap
- Scent-free moisturizer
- Reusable water bottle
- Flip-flops (M or 7/8/9 preferred)
- Chapstick and deodorant
- Hairbrush, comb & hair ties
- PJs/nightgown (all sizes welcome)
- Journal & pen
- Reusable bag/purse
The items should be in new condition. Note: There is a need for hair care items suitable for textured, curly hair, such as a wide-tooth or afro comb, hydrating shampoo for textured or curly hair, and leave-in conditioner.
We'll be accepting donations in the Taproom until March 31st, 2025, with a goal of collecting enough items to build 15 care kits!
Located in Centretown/Glebe and want to help? Donations can be dropped off at Stomping Ground, located on the corner of Fifth Ave. and Bank st., who have generously offered their shop as a collection point.
